Overview
From the smallest of local primary schools, to The University of Akron, Laketec has had the opportunity to work with schools of all sizes and objectives. We view it as our responsibility to design technology solutions that directly support the educational and operational objectives of the school.E-Rate Experts
In the K-12 market we have developed a strong expertise in leveraging E-Rate to help schools deploy technologies that would otherwise exceed their budget. Laketec has several E-Rate experts available to help navigate through the paperwork and process. Our goal is always to be easy to do business with and assistance with E-Rate is a capability we’re very proud of.
K-12
Laketec entered the K-12 space in 2009 when we had the opportunity to work with Vermilion City Schools. At that time, we deployed 500 thin clients to support a virtual desktop initiative which essentially eliminated PC’s from the districts computer labs. When the school moved to a 1 to 1 initiative (a laptop for every student) we were there to design and deploy 200 Aruba access points to support that project. Today, we support a variety of schools across the state including Canton City Schools where we have now deployed 800+ AP’s and done all of the cabling to complete the project.
Higher EducationWith the drastic increase in the number of devices students are bringing to campus, you need a rock solid wireless network. Laketec has the tools and expertise to design, implement, and support your wifi strategy. We also specialize in server and desktop virtualization, phone systems, and network switching.
Core Technologies
When we first brought Aruba into our district, we prioritized baseline capabilities like high availability and increased capacity. Now that we have seen success with more advanced features like Dynamic Segmentation and optimization through policy automation, we are looking forward to the additional benefits we will implement with our Aruba solutions.
